First sailing trip - September 27th 2014

First day out on Matika V.  We departed about 10:30.  The wind pushed us back to the Jetty, so we knocked our return spring line into the water.  We had to turn around and stop to reset the line!

Started out with a very pleasant sail from MBTBC.  Winds were light 8-10Knots from the E-SE.  We headed down towards Peel Island and rounded to the South.

Pleasant sail towards Peel

Peel Island - Horseshoe Bay

We sailed by a very calm Horseshoe bay were there were plenty of boats anchored.  We would have stopped for lunch but didn't have time.

We passed the Platypus wreck and rounded up the East side of Peel, and then set a track for Manly Bay to return.  Winds swung to the East and were 10-15 knots.  We had a very pleasant sail back at 6-7 Knots.

Arrived back at the berth about 3:45PM and headed off about 4:30.  Day 1 success!
